Bob’s Blankie Brigade, a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving people who are seriously ill or in need, has donated 68 handmade blankets and quilts and 63 knitted and crocheted caps to University Medical Center at Princeton.
The blankets were handcrafted by volunteers at Bob’s Blankie Brigade for use by newborns to adults. The caps also vary, from tiny ones for premature babies to larger sizes for pediatric patients. The items will be distributed to patients in UMCP’s Oncology Unit, Special Care Nursery, and Outpatient Pediatric Clinic.
Dually headquartered in Princeton and Boynton Beach, Fla., Bob’s Blankie Brigade was established in 2008 to provide a warm and loving touch to children and adults in need. In 2010, Bob’s Blankie Brigade distributed a total 213 blankets and 154 caps to good causes. For more information, visit www.bobsblankiebrigade.org.
